Northcross Mall Demolition Austin, TX
Two-Phase Demolition Project
Although the shopping mall made its debut in the 1950s and reached its peak in the 1990s, it has undergone re-design and re-branding in recent years. As a result of that trend, many malls across the country have required demolition services as part of a renovation effort. That was the case for NorthCross Mall, a 667,000-square foot regional open-air shopping center located in Austin, TX.
Lloyd D. Nabors Demolition was hired to complete a two-phase demolition project for NorthCross Mall. After discussions with the client regarding their goals and business objectives, budget and schedule, our professional team completed Phase One of the demolition. This select demolition in Austin, TX involved gutting and demolishing half of the existing mall while tenants continued conducting business in the remaining half.

Once that was completed and renovations were made, tenants including a mix of national and local retailers and restaurants moved into the first half, and our select demolition team took down and removed the other half of the mall safely and successfully.

Demolition work is always a messy business, and although we do our best to minimize dust and pollution on all our projects, it was particularly important in this one because of the high traffic nearby. NorthCross Shopping Center is located in one of the fastest growing communities in Austin.

After each phase of the select demolition project, we loaded all debris, recycled anything that could be recycled, disposed of all materials following local regulations and hauled away other trash. We work hard to exceed our customers' expectations during every phase of every project from initial meetings to clean-up.
