Hendricks Medical Center Demolition Abilene, TX
Demolition for Renovation and Modernization
Hendrick Health Care System has been an integral part of the Texas Midwest community since its inception in 1924. During the Great Depression, the community worked hard to keep the hospital open when times were difficult for everyone. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hendrick, for whom the health care system was named, donated a great deal of money to pay off debts and expand the hospital. Many decades later, when the Hendrick Health System was ready to update, renovate and modernize its facilities, it turned to Lloyd D. Nabors Demolition for assistance. We share the Hendrick Health System's dedication to our community in Texas and were anxious to partner with this organization.
Our professional staff met with the key players at Hendrick Health Care system to outline objectives, goals, budget and time frame. The demolition project was a challenging one. We needed to take down three large buildings near an active and busy hospital.

Once our team along with the client put together a plan of action, our experienced, licensed technicians and engineers successfully demolished a one-story, 90,000-square-foot building, a separate three-story facility and a third five-story building. All buildings were in close proximity to a busy hospital.

Like Hendrick Health Care System, which runs a 522-bed medical center, a women’s center, a rehabilitation hospital and a cancer center in Abilene, Texas, we care about our community's health. Demolition is naturally a messy business, creating a great deal of dust and pollution as well as debris. Our company employs state-of-the-art technology to minimize the impact of the demolition on all people involved and around the area.
